2. How did you get my e-mail address? I don't remember
signing up for the WebSurveyMD Panel.
Please don't be alarmed if you received an invitation to
participate in one of our surveys but don't remember registering
with us. You or someone using your e-mail address opted to
participate in the WebSurveyMD Panel or you joined
over the telephone. All new members are invited to register
by e-mail and admitted into the panel only after registering.
In every e-mail invitation, we identify ourselves in the header
and describe how you can unsubscribe. We do not "spam" or
send unsolicited commercial e-mail to our panel members. In
fact, we go to great lengths to qualify physicians before
sending invitations.
If you decide to unsubscribe at any time, please see question
#8 below.
3. Is membership free?
Yes! Membership to the panel and access to WebSurveyMD

1. How do I participate in research surveys?
As part of registration, you will complete our Welcome Survey.
This Welcome Survey is important because it helps us determine
which research surveys you may be qualified for and of interest
to you. As we host new surveys on the web, we randomly select
physicians from our panel. If you are selected we will send
you an e-mail inviting you to take the survey.
2. Why do you ask personal information?
We ask questions about your demographics, interests, specialty,
kind of practice, and online usage to help us develop general
trends about our panel. This information is used to conduct
statistical analyses so that we can ensure that our sample
of physicians is representative of the general population.
We also use this information to send you surveys that correspond
to your interests and practice.
3. Do I have to participate every time I am invited to
take a survey?
Not at all. You're welcome to take a survey whenever you
receive an invitation, but you're always free to ignore the
message. You can always take another survey the next time
you are invited.
4. How long do surveys take to complete?
We try to keep the surveys to a maximum of 10-20 minutes.
This time may vary depending on the speed of your Internet
connection or browser.

TECHNICAL
CHALLENGES
1. What computer technology do I need to participate in
surveys?
For most of our surveys, all you need is an Internet connection
so you can log on to take our surveys. Occasionally, our surveys
require additional technology that you may not possess, such
as a sound card. If your computer lacks the required technology,
feel free to wait to take part in a future study that does
not require these features.
2. How do I address any technical problems I encounter
while taking a survey?
Unfortunately we occasionally experience technical problems
with our servers or surveys. This is the one down side of
technology! From time to time, our servers may become overloaded
when too many people try to access a survey at the same time.
If you can't access or it takes too long to complete a particular
survey, you can always exit and finish the survey at a later
time.
If you are experiencing a technical problem, please feel
free to contact the Physician Help Desk or email our Webmaster.
3. I tried using the url you sent me to get into the
survey, but it didn't work. Help!
Please e-mail our Webmaster
and we will help you gain access to the survey.
4. Which browser works best?
We recommend using the Netscape or Internet Explorer, versions
4.0 or higher to view our surveys. These browsers connect
directly to our servers. AOL users may elect to minimize AOL
and open an alternate browser such as Netscape or Internet
Explorer.
5. Once I am done taking a survey, how do I get back
onto the Internet?
At the end of the survey, choose the option of returning
to the WebSurveyMD Website and then surf away!

INCENTIVES
1. Do you offer incentives to participate in surveys?
We generally offer monetary incentives to participate in
surveys because we value your time. By participating in these
surveys you have an opportunity to influence decision-makers
at major corporations, in the government, and those involved
in non-profit organizations. We may share survey results and
e-mail you the results of the survey you participated in.
We may sometimes offer you the opportunity to participate
in sweepstakes, point programs or contests in appreciation
for your participation. You will qualify only after completing
the particular survey.
